comfortable creaking

oh, boisterous one

he smiled, you are not quiet
but it's quite okay

shivering in cold
when the fire turns silent
I prefer the roar

kitty rubs my legs
the old floor creaks like my bones
somehow it comforts

I now know why they have the kitty (and dogs) around in cold countries :))

The first sounds familiar....the male trio in my life says that...and they can't tolerate my silence :)

Take what is in them:
The scary scarf of silence.
Stop watching my hands.

Words verification says (in broken French): priewo ('Priez vous', which means 'Pray!':)

Devika~ There is an expression in the cold north: a three dog night. It refers to how many dogs it takes lying on the bed to keep one warm.

Borut~
I will pray
for a nice warm scarf
cover me

oh my God!! You broke my little heart!! -- can't think of a dog or for that matter inside the house,

It makes me wonder -- about many socio-familial issues -- Don't they sleep together?? or many divorcees and people prefering to stay single --- hmmm, anyway,

The dogs and cats I have known enjoy spending at least part of their time inside, especially when it's cold. They are social and like to be with their humans. :-)

I understand the sentiment, Janet...but cat/dog pets not for me...can be with birds and fishes :)
