can't carry it with me

castles made of sand
precariously balanced

all things wash away

castles in the sky
wheelbarrows full of nothing

light, color, and thought

Just watching the interplay of castles rising and washing away these days...nothing to hold on to...just sand, and light, opening and closing the hand and waves.

wonderful verse, Janet == and effective juxtaposition of the two :)

I still find light, color, and thought -- very interesting for the multitude of perspectives it offers:)

if not for that, just imagine our world and life...i may choose death the moment they cease to exist...i may, so I think,

Hi Devika~
This was inspired by a conversation about the limitations of language and how they lead to our confusions about "things" versus "states" or "experiences"(which cannot be contained in a wheelbarrow) ....and I think when it comes down to it, light color and thought might be the sum of it:-)

Okay Janet, and that somehow reminded me of

William Carlos Williams "The Red Wheelbarrow"

So much depends
upon
a red wheel
barrow
glazed with rain
water
beside the white
chickens

If I may add -- so much depends on individual perception, does it makes sense? :)
