ancient train song fades
creosote fertilizes
dying beams give life

Just asking...

is there less beauty
in a solitary bloom
than in multitudes?

the full length of this
suspended animation

stretches before me

assuming permanence

particles floating frozen

tumble unaware

holiness within
reassembles perspective
awakens to joy

shopkeeper's wife

what is the story
behind the sudden change
in her demeanor

last dregs of lipstick
cannot disguise worry lines
suddenly arrived

avoiding my gaze
her downcast eyes perplex me
gone the cheery smile

here's your change sweetheart
the usual phrase comes whispered
she's somewhere else now

"You make me crazy"

drowning in the rush
these chemical distractions
keep sidetracking me

made by me or not
source doesn't matter
internal or external

weary of crazy
is there one who'll make me sane
try it once again

it's busy in the
cellular metropolis
comprising this soul

organic matter's
epic collaboration
really blows my mind

hearts & flowers

glowing perspective
captured lying on my back
perfect heart shaped leaves

catalpa's first blooms
tease me with sweet promises
of lushness to come
